Community

The Sisters of Nu Sigma Chi were amongst 500 volunteers who came together on 10/2/16 to participate in the Annual American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Binghamton, NY.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks are the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting communities with a shared determination to help free the world from the pain and suffering of breast cancer. Passionate walk participants raise critical funds that enable the American Cancer Society to fund innovative research; provide free, information and support to anyone touched by breast cancer; and help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable

SHARE YOUR EARS!
Make-A-Wish® celebrated the success of the global "Share Your Ears" campaign and announced that Disney Parks will double its original donation from $1 million to $2 million in recognition of the overwhelming support from fans, including the sisters of Nu Sigma Chi, around the globe.

Founder Helen Hayes Edinger '30

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce that on July 20, 2016, we lost our last living founding sister, Helen Hayes Edinger, at 106 years old. Helen was an inspiration! On her 100th birthday, her family included the Active Nu Sig sisters in her centennial celebration. Her wonderful stories were captivating and her love and support for Nu Sig was obvious to all.  Helen will be missed greatly.

The NEXAA is working to create a Founders scholarship in Helen's memory. If you are interested in donating to this cause, please email admin@nusigmachi.org for more information.

CONGRATULATIONS
